How to screen the pulp of Paper machine pulping equipment

The screening principle is based in part on the fact that good fibers have a tendency to hydrate and have a density close to water. When the low-concentration slurry rotates in the centrifugal screen, the fibers themselves align with the flow direction and pass through the circular holes on the screen plate.

Coarse flakes are not fully hydrated and have low density; this factor restricts the effect of centrifugal force. The coarse flakes flow through the sieve plate and are discharged as sieve residue. When the slabs move axially to form an accumulation, the loose material layer also functions as a screening element to some extent.

Gravity centrifugal screens have been widely used in slurry screening.
